Fostering Academic Growth through Teaching Practice Research

●活動主旨 Purpose of the Event

為提升高等教育教學品質，促進教學實踐研究之發展，教育部教學實踐研究計畫專案辦公室與國立高雄科技大學特邀請澳洲紐卡索大學（University of Newcastle）QT學院（QT Academy）團隊成員，同時也是該校「教師與教學研究中心」副主任的Dr. Drew Miller來臺分享。本次演講將聚焦於一套以實證研究為基礎的「優質教學模式」（Quality Teaching Model, QT Model）。該模式包含三大核心面向與十八項關鍵要素，旨在協助教師深度反思並精進其教學實務。此外，Dr. Miller亦將分享如何成功地將高品質、具實證基礎的教學策略融入日常課堂，並就遊戲導向學習的導入，以及建立有效的教師回饋與反思機制等議題，分享其長期累積的實踐經驗與洞見。

To advance the quality of teaching in higher education and to foster the scholarly development of pedagogical practices, the Program Office of the Teaching Practice Research Program (Ministry of Education), in collaboration with National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, is honored to host Dr. Drew Miller from Australia. Dr. Miller is a distinguished team member of the QT Academy and the Deputy Director of the Teachers and Teaching Research Centre at the University of Newcastle. This presentation will center on the evidence-based “Quality Teaching Model” (QT Model), a pedagogical framework comprising three core dimensions and eighteen key elements designed to facilitate deep reflection and refinement of teaching practices among educators. Furthermore, Dr. Miller will share his extensive experience and insights on successfully integrating high-quality, evidence-based strategies into daily classroom instruction. He will particularly address the long-term implementation of approaches such as game-based learning and the establishment of effective mechanisms for teacher feedback and reflection.
